Company: IT Safeguards at Home LLC ("ITS Home", "we", "us", "our")
These Terms of Service ("Terms") outline your rights and responsibilities when using our website, software, and IT services. By signing up, paying for, or using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our services.
1. Services We Provide
ITS Home offers managed IT services exclusively for Windows 10/11 Pro home computers:
- Cloud Backup (up to 500GB per device)
- Endpoint Protection using SentinelOne
- DNS/Web Protection with secure, encrypted DNS filtering
- Maintenance & Patching including updates, cleanup, and system health monitoring
- Remote Monitoring & Support for proactive system management
We do not support macOS or Linux systems in the home environment.
2. Onboarding & Setup
Clients may choose between:
- Option 1: Fully Automated Setup – $0 (no support call)
- Option 2: Onboarding Call (30 min) – $50 (billed once)
Automated onboarding includes:
- Email instructions for setting up your services
- Installation links and steps
- Automated system scripts for:
- Initiating backups
- Installing SentinelOne
- Installing DNS Protection
3. Monthly Fees & Payment Terms
- Monthly Fee: $45 per machine
- Payments are due every month at the anniversary of the sign up date and charged in advance via Stripe.
4. Support & Access
- Remote support is available during business hours to troubleshoot issues with our software.
- You authorize us to remotely access your device(s) for setup, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- All access is encrypted and secure.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for illegal activity
- Share login credentials with others outside your household
- Tamper with or misuse our remote tools or software
We reserve the right to suspend or cancel services in case of abuse.
6. Scope of Work
The services provided include the following (see full Scope of Work documents):
Backup Services
- Daily Backups between 12am-7am
- 500GB limit per device; more available at extra cost
- Retention Period: 30 days
- Restore Requests: Via support ticket
- Monthly Reports delivered
Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM)
- OS Updates (security and feature)
- Third-party App Patching (select applications)
- Regular Cleanup Scripts to boost performance
- Hardware Monitoring and alerts on critical issues
- Monthly System Health Reports
Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR)
- Behavioral AI Threat Detection
- Automated Remediation (e.g., killing malicious processes, file rollback)
- Ransomware Protection & Recovery
- Incident Reports for transparency
DNS Protection Services
- Smart Threat Filtering
- URL Filtering and Real-Time Domain Blocking
- Encrypted DNS with DoH/DoT
- Content Filtering & Exfiltration Prevention
- Monthly DNS Health Reports
Out of Scope:
- Break-fix services
- Any service not listed in the scope
7. Cancellations & Refunds
- Cancel anytime via email: support@itshome.tech
- No refunds for current billing cycle
- Data and services will be removed within 5 business days of cancellation
- Clients are encouraged to download backups before service ends
8. Privacy and Data Protection
Our Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your data, including:
- Email, IP, OS logs, PC health, and AV alerts
- Payment info via Stripe
- Remote monitoring tools: SentinelOne, Cove, N-Able
- No data is sold or shared for advertising
9. Liability and Warranty
- ITS Home makes no guarantees of 100% threat prevention or uptime
- You agree that our maximum liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid in the past 12 months
- While we use enterprise-grade backup tools and processes, we do not guarantee complete data recovery or protection. Backup success rates are generally high, but no backup system is flawless. You accept the risk that up to 20% of your data may not be recoverable in rare cases due to unforeseen technical failure, human error, or corruption.
- ITS Home is not liable for any direct or indirect losses resulting from data loss, data corruption, or failure to recover data.
10. Amendments
This Terms of Service and Scope of Work may be updated or modified at any time. Clients will be notified of major changes via email. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance.
